Textile Art

I have always loved sewing from a young age, I used to use my grandmother’s old sewing machine to sew Barbie clothes! I was always drawn to textile collage but began making fabric dolls before I ventured into textile collage. I loved fabric, especially the vintage textures old lace and tweed, and wanted to find a way to combine my love of painting and drawing with my love of fabric and sewing. Learning to do free-motion stitching was a life-changing moment for me as I allowed me to draw with my sewing machine which enables me to create the whimsical creations you see below.
